Brief Description :
Bangladesh is a south Asian country. It is a historical country in the world. During the liberation war of Bangladesh,3 million people had sacrificed their lives for it`s independence. It has got freedom from Pakistan in 1971. Its’ total area is 147570 sq kilometer with a population of about 160 million. Now a days, Bangladeshi economy is growing rapidly.
History of Bangladesh :
Bangladesh has a many of thousands years’ history. Various people had been rulled this country for a long time from others country of the world. In 326 BC King Alexander came to India and attacked Bengal. In 1199 Mohammed Bakhtiar Khalzhi from Turkistan attacked Bengal and become the empire of Bengal. Mohammed Bakhtiar Khalzhi established the first Muslim empire in the Bengal history. The 15thcentury Portuguese come to Bengal for business.
The 16th century was rolled by Mughals. In 1690 British came to India (kolkata) and founded East India Company. In 1717, Murshid Quirli khan defeated Mughal and established the empire of Bengal . In 1756 , Nowab Siraj Ud Daula became the empire of Bengal. After one year (17572nd July) Siraj Ud Daula was defeated and killed by British East India Company.
In 1947, British declared the independence of India. India spitted into two countries (India & Pakistan). Bangladesh became a part of Pakistan. In 1952, the Mother Language Movement was held in East Bengal (East Pakistan) and Bangla Language got the status of official language of Pakistan. In the general election 1970, Awami League won the majority in the parliament but Pakistan declined to hand over the power to the East Pakistani Leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 7th March1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered his historical speech"Ebarer Shongram Shsdhinotar Shongram, Ebarer Shongram Muktir Shongram..." "(This time,the revolutionis for freedom. This time,the revolutionis for independence..." . In 1971, Bangladesh achieved independence from Pakistan under the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. During the liberty war, 3 million Bangladeshi people were killed and 2.5 lac women and children were rapped by the Pakistani Army . On 16th December1971, the Pakistani army had surrendered to the Allied Forces (Bangladesh and India) and the Instrument of Surrender was () signed by the joint Commander of East Pakistan Armed Forces lieutenant-General A. A. K. Niazi and joint Command of Bangladesh-India Allied Forces Lieutenant General Jagjit Sing Aurora at Ramna Race Course in Dhaka.

Bangladesh has Parliamentary democracy .The government head is the prime Minister and the chief of the state is the president. The prime minister is elected by the votes of the parliament members and the parliament members are directly elected by the votes of the public.
